Humanity?

A look at humans through the eyes of beings who are extremely intelligent, kind, caring, forgiving, patient and loving, who are endlessly trying to understand us and why we do the things we do.
Can we ever become more than Yahoos? Will we ever operate outside our ego's need for consumption and destruction, taking and wasting?
Can we see all other beings as equals and put forth the effort to listen to what they are saying? See what they wish to give without our taking and using?
